Land of Bishnois

Peaceful co-existence is not that difficult if we learn to be happy within our means. Bishnoi people are happy in whatever they have. What makes them different is the pride in their culture and legacy which promotes harmony between humans, animals and nature.

I have got wings...

From times immemorial, humans have desired to fly like birds. How cool will be the life if we can fly, there will be no traffic police and traffic jams...? How cool the life will be...

Don't be surprised at the title..this is what I felt on this trip. This trip came one week after my Roadtrip - Ranchi to Jamshedpur. These 2 weeks were pretty happening.

There are quiet a lot of things which happen for the first time in our lives, like wise -
  • First Step, when you get up on your feet
  • First Crush
  • First Date
  • First Kiss
  • First Job and first Salary
and many more. These are the moments which we cherish forever and these moments remain close to our hearts, lifelong.

I had to leave for Vijaynagar from Bangalore for a business meeting. Initially I did not had the slightest of the idea that this trip is going to be one of the most memorial trios of my life.

This was not in my first timers' list, but I will add one more to the first timers' list - "First flight in a Chartered Plane". Excitement of flying in the 9 seater chartered plane was quickly turning to passion for taking the pics as much as possible.

For sometime I have been thinking of buying a SLR camera. This was the time I did not knew that I an going to repent the most for my lethargic attitude. Being a business trip I was even without my digital camera. I had to bank upon my old trusted friend, "my cellphone Nokia-5610" to do the job. Someone has rightly said - "A friend in need is a friend indeed". And my mobile did a brilliant job, as it had done for so many times in past.

Bangalore was full of concrete buildings, so there was not much to capture. So I decided to preserve the batteries for way ahead. As soon as we came out of Bangalore, turn around of the topography was astonishing. Colonies amidst huge vacant lands...

There is too much dearth of space in the cities, but far off from the cities...

Distinct brown color of the land is attributed to vast iron Ore reserves in this area. One more...

This one is from the highest altitude (according to me) the plane took during the flight. Rocky brown terrain looks divinely fascinating. I miss a parachute...

I was fortunate to get such a fascinating view of the entire settlement. Steel plant at the backdrop, presents an enchanting view of Vijaynagar. Check out...

Have a look at the small, sexy but cute airport. The airport has been built and maintained by JSW. Prior to 2008-09, i.e. recession this airport used to be kept occupied with a lot of flights. But now only a few chartered flights align here.

In the return flight I was able to capture only a few portraits as the mobile's battery gave away. But what I clicked was no less than being called awesome. This pigeon's eye view of Vijaynagar, while we have just started soaring up from the airport.

The first thing I will do is to get a new battery on return to Delhi.

Picture quality is better than what I had anticipated earlier. May be I have to take a plane to get more pics and better pics according to my ease...

Life is an endless journey, keep on accumulating the moments. Those are the moments which makes a life worthwhile. As said by a genius...

ज़िन्दगी लम्बी नहीं, ज़िन्दगी बड़ी होनी चाहिए ...

Life should not be long, "Life should be Grand"...

Towards the end of our lives, we will surely realize the importance of these moments, which would have become memories, by then. make it worthwhile, so guys keep on travelling...
