Dubai by Monorail - Gateway to Atlantis

As soon as I landed in Dubai, I took a tourist map of Dubai from the hotel where I was staying and the picture of Atlantis Dubai and connecting monorail instantly grabbed the attention. Hotel staff also mentioned and insisted to not to miss Dubai Monorail ride.

Towards afternoon, I boarded the tram from Dubai Marina station to Palm Jumeirah station. Palm Gateway which is the first station of Dubai monorail is at walking distance from the tram station to start Dubai monorail ride to Palm-Jumeirah Island.

Monorail, known as The Palm Monorail, is not just a train ride; it is a phenomenal experience and most iconic way to navigate to Palm Jumeirah Island and witness some out of the world scenic landmarks, like -
First glance of the route ahead was an indication of exciting journey about to begin.

From the front seat the ride, be ready for larger-than-life panorama appearing with each passing second. Joy had multiplied when I realized that I was riding Solo in the monorail.

Seaside residential bungalows, high rise buildings, engineered marvels passing by the window reinforced the decision for monorail.

Finally, the breath-taking view of the “Atlantis” took me straight to some dreamland. Monorail is also called as - Gateway to Atlantis.
To continue living the fairy-tale outing, I came down to the beach to have a walk along the beach in the literally scorching Sun. It was difficult to open eyes at first and couple of guards down there advised me not to fight the sunlight. Though I was carrying a water bottle, but the moment and excitement had insulated me from the super-heated Sunlight for the time I was there.

Spent around an hour walking around the beach, soaking in the beach walk vibes. The heat didn't bother for a minute. Time when occasion overcomes the surroundings.

After checking the Aquaventure Park and finally a Coffee at Atlantis hotel it was the time to return back to the monorail station.

By the time I got down from the monorail at Palm Gateway, the evening has started to approach. That’s how the journey looked from the monorail windows, see for yourself:
I took a return ticket for the ride from Palm Gateway to Atlantis Aquaventure for AED 30. Individual one-side ticket costs AED 20. Dubai Metro Cards should have at least AED 60 to be swiped for Monorail. At the end cherishing the feeling of an awesome ride:

As a souvenir I captured the mono-rail model at the Palm Gateway station to take back the picture memory of the ride. Ride in the Monorail is definitely an experience to be enjoyed along with other activitiesGreen light strip is the monorail route.

I again took to the tram from Palm Jumeirah and this time clicked again some more skyscrapers from the window. After the monorail ride it was the time to explore the Shopping options in Dubai and hopping on to the Red Line. Stay tuned…
